Dr. Brenda Newman is a board-certified dermatologist with a passion for providing individualized, high-quality care to patients. She has a special interest in patients with atypical nevi, melanoma, and nail disease, but also enjoys general dermatology, especially as skin disease relates to overall health. Her formal education and training include:

- Oregon Health and Science University (Portland, OR) – PhD, Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology
- University Hospitals of Cleveland (Cleveland, OH) – Dermatology Internship
- University Hospitals of Cleveland (Cleveland, OH) – Dermatology Residency, Chief Resident
During her training, Dr. Newman received several awards and grants and has contributed to many publications. She has also volunteered with numerous medical organizations, including Doctors Without Borders, and served as a clinical instructor and assistant professor at the University of Washington, Seattle, Washington. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), the American Medical Association (AMA), and the Council for Nail Disorders (CND).
She is still involved in basic research and is currently working on developing new drugs for both dermatology and general use.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Newman enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being outdoors, and exercising with her dog, Romeo.
